The Florence Knoll Relaxed Lounge Chair is the new 2014 relax version of the Florence Knoll’s classic lounge chair. The model is produced by worldwide, internationally recognized furniture manufacturer Knoll Studio. The original Lounge Chair was created in 1954 by a pioneer in modern furniture and textiles, designer and architect Florence Knoll.
In celebration of 100 years of Florence Knoll and to honor her legacy, Knoll has launched a new set of designs inspired by archival products. Florence Knoll’s classic lounge chair is now available in a soft version, with deeper proportions for a more relaxed sit. Consistent with all of Knoll’s designs, it has a spare, angular profile that reflects the objective perfectionism of modern design in the early 1960s.
The Florence Knoll Relaxed Lounge Chair features an exposed metal frame and legs in heavy gauge steel with a polished chrome finish. The inner frame is solid wood with seat suspension with springs. The seat and back covering is tufted and covered with polyester fiberfill to enhance comfort. KnollStudio logo and Florence Knoll’s signature are stamped into the base frame.
