Startup Village 2025 in Skolkovo

On May 29−30, Skolkovo hosted the large-scale 13th International Technology Conference Startup Village 2025 — a unique innovation forum where startup founders meet with investors, large corporations, scientists and government officials to discuss breakthrough ideas for technological development in various industries: IT, energy, transport, industrial technology, ecology, construction, new materials, medicine, veterinary, etc. More than 1300 corporations participated in the forum. The Startup Village 2025 business program includes dozens of thematic sessions and discussions that combine innovation and business.

As part of the SK Gala Pitch, investor pitches were held on the «Hypercube» stage, where the best startups from different fields presented their solutions to investors. Biotex, a Skolkovo resident, presented Russia’s first innovative biomaterial Apple Skin, an alternative leather based on apple feedstock.

Yuri Pavlov, founder of Concept, and Irina Leonova, CEO of Biotex, an author of the Apple Skin project, signed an agreement on cooperation and the implementation of apple bio-leather into the production of furniture and interior solutions by Concept.

«When we met Irina and her partners, saw the prospect of Apple Skin material, I realized that I just couldn’t pass it by — I ignited my team, attracted our production… And today we are preparing to launch interior products based on apple leather. I am sure that this innovative material has a huge potential. We have a fruitful cooperation ahead of us," concluded Yuri Pavlov.
