Arper's novelties

We would like to present several new products from the high-end Italian furniture brand Arper.

As part of their collection 2016, the company introduced a modern edition of extremely comfortable and bright Catifa 46 and Catifa 53 chairs and stools and a number of new lightweight, durable and comfortable tables Meety, Wim and Yop. Most of the new products are designed by the Barcelona-based design studio Lievire Altherr Molina.

Originally designed in 2004, Catifa 46 features the same slim profile. However, new for 2016, the collection is available in an updated range of a soft yet complex palette: rosé, petrol, yellow, ivory and smoke. Any combination of these refreshed colors can be paired or contrasted with customizable seat pad, or interpreted as a monochrome statement. Selections can be further amplified or muted by fabric texture, shell finish and colored base options. Catifa 46 — New Edition received the HIP Honoree Award during NeoCon 2016.

The original series of another popular collection, Catifa 53, is reimagined for 2016 with a matte plastic or leather finish, lending sophistication and modern character to the quintessential form. Just like its little sister Catifa 46, Catifa 53 has a wide shade selections of colors including white, ivory, gold, sand, caramel, café, antrazit or black that lend natural elegance to matte plastic. These new finishes can be further intensified by a loose seat cushion compatible with all models. In variable fabric finishes, the optional cushion creates a rich interplay of textures, colors and materials to bring tactile pleasure to any environment.

Meety, a meeting table by Arper, mimics the adaptable system of Catifa in table form. Inspired by the architectural structure of bridges—at once strong and lightweight—Meety’s aluminum legs form a solid structure from which the top appears to float or hover. An adaptable and dynamic system of tables engineered to be optimally customizable, Meety retains its unique character from its cast aluminum legs that seamlessly integrate into multiple tabletop options: size, scale, and material. Diverse customizations create options for tailoring this elegant system to any context — for home, for work, for life.

Another table in the collection, Wim, is a quintessential form, pared down to its most elegant components. Compact in form, but expansive in use, Wim can act alone, or pair in groups for commercial or contract contexts while still retaining its archetypal identity. Durable materials like aluminum, high-pressure laminate and wood create a sturdy construction of an adaptable form available in round, square or rectangular. Made of the same materials and available in the same shapes, Yop is an even more compact table, designed with an integrated flipping mechanism. Created for both commercial and residential spaces that demand lightness and styled pragmatism, Yop is engineered to fold down for compact storage and stacking, and incline when needed for optimal efficiency. Yop is also available in a fixed version (without flipping mechanism).

Among the other new products by Arper we would like to highlight the reimagined aluminium-based modular seating system Steeve, available a bench, armchair and sofa, the Aava collection with its new natural color palette and the collection of decorative modular wall panels Parentesit.

Concept is the official supplier of the Arper factory in Russia.
